The final performances of a spectacular series of open-air community plays will take place on Good Friday.

The Passion will be played in Peel Castle at noon, with a second performance taking place at the Church of St Anthony in Onchan at 6pm.

Tomorrow’s shows will mark the end of an ambitious theatrical project, part of the Island of Culture celebrations.

Three separate one-hour dramatisations of key parts of the Bible - Creation, Nativity and Passion - have been performed by a huge local cast in seven different venues around the island during the week.

Tickets for the final shows are still available, priced at £5 for adults and £1 for under-18s, (under-12s must be accompanied by an adult) from the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal or from the Villa/Gaiety box office online or by phone on 600555.
