INCREASED demand for places on their training courses has led to Expol Limited announcing extra dates for next year.
New dates for the highly popular Internet Investigation sessions are January 29/February 1 and March 5-6, 2013.
The forensic and civil investigation company, based in Drinkwater Street Douglas, is led by former senior police detectives, David Bell and Robert Kinrade.
Mr Kinrade, director, said: ‘I am delighted with the interest we have received in our courses and bookings have been very swift, so much so that we have had to allocate dates through to Easter next year to cope with the number of registrations.
‘We have also had enquiries from organisations asking us to provide training courses just for their staff. This is financially advantageous to companies in terms of future planning whilst complying with their obligations in such austere times.
‘Our vision of providing an in depth, challenging training course in an exclusive environment such as the Regency Hotel also appeals to prospective delegates, many of whom have commented to me how much they are looking forward to joining us. I am sure they won’t be disappointed.’
Expol has just released details of another course aimed at improving the interviewing skills of HR and personnel managers when dealing with staff and issues in the workplace. It will feature theory and practical interview exercises.
Mr Kinrade said: ‘Working environment problems and dealing with grievances are now commonplace and having the confidence to effectively interview staff subject of allegations is not easy.
‘Our two day course is aimed at giving the staff director, the HR manager, the supervisor or the team leader the ability to deal with any occurrences or grievances more effectively.
‘It will display best practice when returning to implement workplace policies and provide the necessary basics to deal with problematic or confrontational situations.’
In addition, Expol has arranged an afternoon’s presentation to advocates by Sue Carney, a leading forensic biologist in the UK, at the Regency Hotel on November 15.
She will explain the complexities of DNA profiling evidence.
Mr Kinrade said: ‘Sue is no stranger to the Isle of Man Courts as she was a member of the Forensic Science Service for many years before leaving and creating her own consultancy and training business.’
