THE number of people killed on the island’s roads during the TT festival has risen to four.
Police have now confirmed that the rider of the motorcycle involved in the collision at Alpine Corner on Wednesday has died as a result of his injuries. He has been named as Niel Ford, aged 52, from West Yorkshire.
The collision between the Suzuki motorcycle and Renault car occurred at about 11.40am. Both vehicles were travelling in the direction towards Ballaugh. The occupants of the car were uninjured.
He died in hospital on Friday.
A pillion passenger involved in an accident at the 32nd Milestone died on Wednesday. She was Heather McNichol, aged 49, and she came from York.
Also on Wednesday, a 31-year-old man died in an accident near Bulgham Bay on the Laxey to Maughold coast road.
Andrew Stephen Baxter, from North Shields, died after his motorcycle was in collision with a car.
The island’s golf champion was killed on Tuesday.
Davy Jones died after an accident on the Cronk-y-Voddy Straight.
