Thousands of people are expected to walk to the Tower of Refuge in Douglas bay on April Fool’s Day.
The event has been sponsored for the third successive year by Tower Insurance and in aid of the RNLI and has been organised by Douglas Development Partnership.
Last year’s event attracted 3,000 people and raised about £2,500.
Participants reach Conister Rock but are not allowed to enter the tower itself.
The walk is open to all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn and instructions by the coastguards and stewards followed at all times. Subject to weather and tidal conditions, the start time will be around 6pm.
