This evening’s Steam Packet sailing to Heysham will depart on time at 7.45pm.
The firm made the announcement at around 3.30pm after this morning’s 8.45am Ben-my-Chree service to Heysham did not sail because of the stormy weather and a worsening forecast placed this evening’s sailing in doubt.
A statement published on the Steam Packet Facebook page said: ‘Based on our latest weather forecasts, this evening’s Ben-my-Chree Douglas to Heysham 19:45hrs departure and her Heysham to Douglas 02:15hrs overnight return, WILL depart as scheduled.
‘Passengers who were booked on our earlier sailings today which were cancelled are free to transfer to these sailings. To do so, please call reservations on 01624 661 661.’
