The Isle of Man Constabulary has launched a summer campaign focussing on safe cycling in Douglas.
Pavements are for Pedestrians was the product of a public meeting after it was raised during a ‘cuppa with a copper’ session.
Residents complained about inconsiderate cycling on pavements and on Douglas promenade – and the police have been quick to react and make the area a safe place for everyone.
The campaign aims to educate cyclists and anyone found in contravention of regulations can expect to be stopped and spoken to by the police, no matter how young or old they might be!
A police spokesman said: ‘This summer, if you are out on your bike, please remember that the rules of the road apply to you as well.’
