Schoolchildren who will undertake a charity walk next month are seeking a good cause to support.
Ballakermeen High School in Douglas stages a charity walk every two years, and local charities have been invited to apply for funds from this year’s event.
The Memorial Walk is the school’s major charity fundraiser and tens of thousands of pounds have been donated in previous years.
The students themselves decide which worthy causes they wish to support, with an amount being held in reserve to cover any emergencies which happen between the two-yearly walks.
Around 1,000 students and others connected with Ballakermeen follow a circular route to Port Soderick via the Marine Drive, returning by roads and footpaths.
This year the walk is scheduled for July 9.
