The Steam Packet today said that TT traffic was as good this year as last.
A Steam Packet spokesman said that final TT ferry passenger figures for this year’s festival fortnight were ‘on a par’ with last year, with the company carrying 35,000 passengers and 11,200 motorcycles to the island between May 22 and June 7.
Aside from the 2007 centenary, TT2012 was the company’s busiest festival for a decade and Chief Executive Mark Woodward says matching those figures this year shows how strong the TT brand continues to be.
Provisional figures for the TT2013 period show that 34,955 passengers travelled to the island with the Steam Packet, and 11,205 bikes, the latter figure down by just 32 on last year (a reduction of 0.2 per cent).
