Karran accuses government of hidden agenda on bus strike

The Liberal Vannin leader, Peter Karran MHK, has criticised the government’s handling of the bus strike and says that the adminstration’s hidden agenda is to privatise Bus Vannin.

The Isle of Man Examiner, which is on sale today, has the full story.

The front page includes a picture of Josh Brookes, the newcomer broke straight into the record books. There’s lots of news about the TT and a look back at the first practice in sport.

The other story on page one is the loss of our air links to Scotland.

After convicted conman Buster Lewin accused the Chief Minister and Treasury Minister of colluding in a land swap deal in Kirk Michael, Allan Bell has his say in the paper today.

Mr Lewin’s comments came in a select committee. We report on another in today’s paper, this time it concerns the future of Manx Radio.

Bosses from the station say they want a new deal.

Elsewhere, we look at the Peggy, a yacht that’s 200 years. We find out why she is being moved.

As well as our usual eight pages of business news, the Examiner includes its 16-page Business Word monthly supplement.

The island’s favourite newspaper is on sale now.
