UNION Mills Football Club in Braddan near Noble’s Hospital, has added a new use to their Club.
Most clubhouses lie empty during weekdays while the children are at school, but two childcare professionals whose sons play for Union Mills have seized the opportunity and from January Union Mills will be opening their doors to a new playgroup – Toddlers United Playgroup.
Seraphina Batty and Margaret Drake are the co owners and will also be working there along with the other staff they have recruited.
Seraphina and Margaret were previously employed at another playgroup but when this opportunity arose, were very excited at the prospect of starting a brand new playgroup.
Seraphina said: ‘We have been working with Steve Carter of Union Mills FC for over six months to get this off the ground. It combines providing new daycare facilities in the Braddan area, with maximising use of the superb modern facilities of the clubhouse and the fantastic outdoor areas’.
Toddlers United Playgroup will be opening at Union Mills Football Club on January 7 and will accommodate children from two to four years old. It will be open from early until 5.45pm, Monday to Friday all year round apart from TT fortnight when the club is used as a campsite.
Half day or full day sessions are available starting from £14.
