Holidaymakers can now stay at the historic Milntown Estate after three new flats opened there this week.
This could be good news for TT and Grand Prix fans looking for somewhere different to stay, with the estate being on the TT course near Ramsey.
Also planned for later in the year are a new Victorian style greenhouse and butterfly house.
The three new flats are self-catering and are situated in a courtyard overlooking the gardens.
Each flat can sleep four people. Two have two double bedrooms and the third has a double bedroom and bunk beds.
The flats will be available all year round, have private parking and can be booked and paid for online.
The Milntown Estate, once the home of the Christian family and more recently Sir Clive Edwards, is now held in trust for the benefit of the Manx people and visitors to the Isle of Man.
Speaking about the new development, Charles Guard, one of the trustees said: ‘We are delighted that these high-quality apartments are now available for the 2016 season.
‘Their completion is all part of the ongoing scheme to make Milntown a unique destination on the island.
‘Our immediate plans for the future include refurbishing some of the rooms in the main house and the building of a new Victorian-style greenhouse and butterfly house which we hope will be completed later this year.’
Guests in the accommodation will have access to the gardens during normal opening hours and will be able to take advantage of Milntown’s on-site cafe which is open daily (excluding Tuesdays) for morning coffee, lunch and afternoon teas.
Prices vary but currently it costs £595 for seven nights accommodation.
The gardens opened for the season on Monday and house tours will start at Easter every Wednesday and Saturday afternoons at 2.30pm.
Entrance to the gardens costs £3.50 per adult (£2.50 concessions, £1 per child). Season tickets are available for £14 per person.
