Long-serving Ramsey commissioner Richard Radcliffe has been elected chairman in this, the board’s 150th anniversary year.
He succeeds Nigel Malpass who held the post for five years.
Nominating Mr Radcliffe, Captain Malpass said a person with stamina, knowledge and dedication was required as leader in this prestigious year.
Sylvia Beattie seconded the proposal and Mr Radcliffe was elected unanimously.
Accepting the role, Mr Radcliffe thanked the members for putting their trust in him.
Stephen Bevan was re-elected deputy chairman.
Other appointments were: Finance, general purposes and establishment – Lawrie Hooper (re-elected); Works and development Graham Jones (re-elected); Housing and property – Tony Harmer (re-elected); Parks and leisure – Stephen Rand.
