There is more demand for smaller, semi-detached housing than large detached housing, Heritage Homes has found at its new Ballakilley development (which straddles Port Erin and Rushen Parish). In response, the developer has applied to make several changes to the housing type.
Two applications submitted along these lines were supported by Port Erin commissioners last week.
One (15/00211/B) is for the erection of 16 dwellings. Gerry Callister said he had ‘no objection if there’s no market.’
A second application (15/00212/B) for eight dwellings also received the authority’s support.
