THERE were plenty of tales from the river bank as youngsters went dipping for freshwater wildlife.
The river dipping event at Garey Ny Cloie in St John’s was organised by the Manx Wildlife Trust.
Wellies were compulsory as children turned up armed with their fishing nets to see what they could find lurking in the water. Experts were on hands to identify what they had caught.
Sunny weather in the morning ensured a good turn-out both from families and the freshwater minibeasts.
