Flybe, the airline with the most flights in and out of the island’s airport, has outperformed many of competitors in terms of punctuality and the quality of service, according to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) statistics for February and March.
The punctuality ratings of Flybe’s flights operated from London Gatwick airport fared particularly well with six of its key regional routes, including the Isle of Man, reporting high levels of punctuality with the majority all well over 90 per cent for consistent on-time performance. These statistics easily outperformed those of its main competitors offering similar services, the airline said.
Flybe’s Isle of Man service from London Gatwick posted over 90 per cent on time performance for the fourth month running.
Flybe has also featured in the latest National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI-UK) Q1 2012 results with a name-check after Virgin Atlantic and British Airways for having increased its passenger satisfaction rating above the airline norm.
