This was the scene on New Castletown Road Douglas, yesterday (Sunday) after a tree fell when storms struck the Isle of Man.
The British Isles were lashed by high winds and rain from the tailend of Hurricane Bertha.
There were some reports of localised flooding as the rain poured down.
The Steam Packet’s Sunday evening sailing from Heysham on the Ben-my-Chree was cancelled while the Manannan’s trip from Liverpool to the island took five hours.
Residents in coastal areas are being warned that there is a risk of overtopping at tonight’s high tide, which is due at 12.55am.
