A teenager from Peel has been committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery to stand trial on a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
Craig Ryan Bridgewater who is aged 18, of Carmane Close, will stand trial on a date to be decided by the court.
The alleged offence took place on the Switchback road near Peel on March 8 this year.
Lucia Porter, a 14-year-old school girl from Onchan, who was travelling in the car, died in the incident.
The defendant was bailed subject to a £500 recognisance and he must not leave the Isle of Man without the court’s permission.
Two other matters of driving without insurance and driving unsupervised on a provisional licence were adjourned indefinitely.
