Mr Cox graduated from Lancaster University in 1998 with a BSc honours degree in environmental management.

He started his teaching career at Victoria Road Primary School in Castletown and then moved to Marown Primary School, becoming its deputy headteacher in 2010.
Mr Cox said: ‘I’m really delighted to be joining the team at Ballasalla and looking forward to getting to know and working with the children, parents, staff and local community.
‘I will, of course, be sad to leave Marown, where I have been privileged to work with fantastic children, families and staff in a lovely school.’
Mr Cox is married and has two young children. In his spare time he is a keen golfer and enjoys sea fishing.
Ballasalla School has 93 pupils on the register.
