The delayed start to today’s TT races is expected to hit commuters.
A police spokesman said: ‘We are expecting Douglas to be congested, in particular in the late afternoon.
‘Officers will be positioned at key junctions and our partners at the Department of Infrastructure will be manually controlling some of the main traffic lights.’
While access corridors and crossing points will open between 5pm and 6pm, the majority of the course will remain closed until races end.
The four-lap Superstock race starts at 6.30pm.
