LLOYDS TSB has announced it is supporting Hospice at Home for 2012.
A range of events are being held this year to help fund the scheme, which is provided by Hospice Isle of Man and supported by the Diana Princess of Wales Care at Home Trust.
Established in 1998, Hospice at Home aims to provide high-quality care to patients, carers and support workers in cases where the patient has elected to remain at home.
Hospice at Home aims to provide the same services as at the Braddan hospice, enabling patients with life-limiting, life-threatening or debilitating illnesses to be administered with regular general or palliative care from the comfort of their own home, and by registered nurses and experienced health-care professionals.
Last month, Lloyds TSB organised a charity quiz night at Bar George, in Douglas, featuring The Apprentice candidate Stuart Baggs as guest quizmaster, which raised £2,000.
In addition, colleagues Jo Wright, Scott Beecroft and Jamie Hayes took part in the opening round of this year’s Easter Athletics Fesitval on Good Friday, a gruelling 10km run which saw hundreds of competitors test themselves on Port Erin and Port St Mary’s hilly roads.
Forthcoming events include cake bakes, charity auction dinners and a baton race between Lloyds TSB branches.
The bank will also donate the proceeds from its an annual Golf Day, which last year raised £2,040.

In the past two years alone, Hospice at Home Isle of Man has received 96 referrals from patients wishing to receive care remotely.
And a total of 1,751 hours has been dedicated to providing care by a multi-disciplinary team of volunteers and experts.
The organisation also offers a range of related courtesies and has provided comfort, access volunteer services, teaching, pain management and bereavement counselling to thousands of sufferers and carers since its launch in 1998.
