A Christmas greeting from Hospice

Hospice is going to try to raise money before Christmas with its own e-Christmas card.

Bill Mummery of Celton Manx was the first corporate supporter for 2013 to get involved with their innovative way of raising funds.

Bill has bought the e-card and has donated £200 to support Hospice. Every penny donated will be used on patient care.

Mr Mummery, executive director for Celton Manx, said: ‘We are very proud of our commitment to the local community and have supported lots of charities and sport on the island.

‘By purchasing Hospice’s ecard we will continue to show our involvement with the local people.’

To buy the e-card all you have to do is continue the fundraising department on fundraising@hospice.org.im or visit Hospice’s website on www.hospice.org.im

Hospice hopes that other organisations or individuals donate the money saved by sending their ecard to the families, colleagues and friends.

Hospice Isle of Man needs to raise £3.5 million each.

The full e-card will be available to download from the website on www.hospice.org.im, once payment is made through PayPal. Once you have bought the e-card it will state along the bottom of the screen a message www.hospice.org.im

Individuals can, for a recommended minimum donation of £5, send the card out to as many people as they want. Corporates are encouraged to make a bigger donation. Printed Christmas cards are still available from Hospice or any of their shops around the island.

Margaret Simpson, chief executive of Hospice, thanked Paul Moulton from PMC Televsion for all his hard work and patience in recording this e-card.
