Festival of Motorcycling rider Bill Blythe and his new wife Jill were so keen to get hitched in the Isle of Man that they turned up for the ceremony a day early.
The couples, from Connecticut, USA, had to get ready for their big day for the second time, as they tied the knot at the registry office, in Deemster’s Walk, Douglas, on Friday - not Thursday like they originally thought.
The couple were joined by a travelling marshal, Jim Hunter, who was kitted out in his marshal gear and arrived on his motorbike.
The newcomer’s sponsor, Bob Taylor, said: ‘It was absolutely wonderful, it was a very lovely service. There were about a dozen racing friends at the ceremony. Bill and Jill came here last year and fell in love with the island.’
The wedding celebrations were put on hold until the evening when happy couple and friends celebrated with champagne.
