Island publican and Keys candidate Nigel Dobson has spoken of his relief after being cleared of any wrongdoing when he failed to disclose a drink-driving conviction on his electoral nomination form.
Mr Dobson this week told the Manx Independent: ‘When the charge was first made I was amazed.
‘I did not lie to the electorate and I did not knowingly make a false statement. The court has now agreed with that.’
The full story is in the Manx Independent, which will be in shops from this afternoon (February 16).
