Youngsters from nine colonies took part in the annual Beaver Scout sports day.
The colonies were 1st Douglas (Monday), 1st Douglas (Thursday), 5th Douglas, Marown, Onchan (Tuesday), Onchan (Thursday), Peel, Rushen and Santan took part.
The large crowd of spectators applauded them as they paraded around the ground and then enjoyed an entertaining afternoon watching and cheering on the events.
The events included running races, egg and spoon races, sack races, ball and cup races, skipping races, space hopper races, a running relay race and finally a water relay race.
Each Beaver Scout who took part earned points and sweets for finishing and at the end of the afternoon each Colony’s points were added to decide the winning team.
All Colonies received certificates for their participation.
The winners were Onchan Thursday, followed by Onchan Tuesday and Peel.
The top three teams were presented with certificates and Onchan Thursday received the annual sports trophy together with a replica.
