BUS chiefs were forced to cancel a school route this morning after a fallen tree brought down power cables in Laxey.
The tree came down near the New Inn and consequently the number 43 bus to Laxey School has been cancelled. Parents are being asked to make alternative arrangements to get their children to school.
Bus route 44 served Minorca and Captain’s Hill, running via the Mountain Road to Douglas.
An additional number 44 route ran from Ballacannell to the Douglas schools.
No bus stops were served between the MER station in Laxey and Ballacannell.
The road has now re-opened and bus routes should be back to normal soon.
