The police have made an appeal to all the taxi drivers of Douglas.
A visitor got a taxi around 1am on this morning (Thursday) from near the Sam Webb’s pub in Marina Road, near the promenade
He was carrying two guitars which went into the boot of the taxi and he was dropped off at Douglas Rugby club.
A police spokesman said: ‘If the taxi driver involved has found the guitars could they please be dropped off at Lord Street Police Station or Douglas Rugby Club, who are aware these guitars may turn up at the Rugby Club?
‘The visitor is desperate to get the guitars back as he is doing a gig on Friday evening.’
