TT race marshals yearning for a freshly brewed cuppa as they sit cocooned in their shelters along the course over the next two weeks need gasp no more with the provision of 26 portable gas stoves courtesy of Manx Gas.
‘As a company we always try to support the TT Marshals Association as without the 520 marshals we would not have a TT,’ said Manx Gas sales and marketing manager Gary Cregeen.
He added: ‘As a team sponsor we were asked by the Association if we could offer any solution which would allow the marshals, particularly those in shelters on the remote areas of the mountain course, to have a hot drink so we came up with the idea of portable gave stoves.’ Terry Holmes, chairman of the TT Marshals Association said: ‘We are truly grateful to Manx Gas for these stoves. Marshals stuck in shelters up on the mountain for several hours at a time with no mains gas or electricity will definitely appreciate these portable stoves.
‘There’s nothing to beat a good, fresh brew.’
