Detective Sergeant Neil Craig, who is leading the inquiry, said: ‘Tanya’s death is not being treated as suspicious. I am, however, trying to establish Tanya’s exact movements between 9.15pm on Friday, May 17, which was the time when she was last seen in the Prospect Terrace area of Douglas, and 6.30pm the following evening when she was discovered. As such, I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Tanya, who was wearing an orange hooded top, blue skinny-style jeans and orange shoes with white laces, or her vehicle, a light-blue Peugeot 206, reg JMN-590-M, between these times to call me on 631212.’

He added: ‘I am also aware that there has been a degree of local speculation as to the circumstances surrounding Tanya’s death. I can dispel such speculation as being incorrect and request that consideration be given as to the impact that such comments may have on Tanya’s friends and family at this very difficult time.’
