Pinewood Studios’ £200 million expansion plans have been rejected by planners.
The Treasury signed a deal in October to transfer management of the £25m Media Development Fund to Pinewood Film Advisors and buy a 9.89 per cent shareholding in Pinewood Shepperton for £12.23m, funded out of reserves.
South Buckinghamshire Council has rejected Pinewood’s plans to create 100,00 sq m of new studios and stages as an ‘inappropriate’ expansion into green belt land.
