A May Ball was held at the Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club on Saturday to raise money for Noble’s Hospital’s maternity unit.
The black tie event with champagne reception, carvery dinner and dancing until late, was organised by The Jane’s Big Push in partnership with the Manx Diabetic Group.
The campaign, spearheaded by the charity With Women Worldwide (WWW), aims to raise £20,000 which will be used by midwives working to refurbish two rooms on the labour ward into a home-from-home birthing room.
It will provide a much more relaxed and low-tech environment.
