Junior Achievement is offering the opportunity for adult Harry Potter fans to release their inner thespian and help capture the magic of Hogwarts at a special event this summer.
Following the phenomenal success of last year’s event, Junior Achievement is holding its Harry Potter charity day at King William’s College on Saturday, July 14, and putting out a call for volunteer Hagrids, Dolores Umbridges and Professor Snapes.
Junior Achievement chief executive Sue Cook said: ‘We’re aiming for a day of “Planet Potter” in deepest Castletown so we’re looking for extrovert volunteers who are as much fans of getting into character as they are of engaging with members of the public to create a magical experience.
‘This is definitely not an occasion for a diffident Dolores or hesitant Hagrid.’
Junior Achievement is also looking for a team of 30 volunteers (costume and make-up optional) to work in shifts and run a range of stalls throughout the day.
Whether you’re into merchandising or Magical Creatures there could be a place for you.
To volunteer, contact Sue Cook by calling 666266 or email sue.cook@jaiom.im.
Tickets for the Harry Potter charity day are on sale now from the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal in Douglas or by calling 600555.
l Warner Bros. Entertainment and J.K. Rowling are not responsible for this event but, subject to conditions, they have kindly granted Junior Achievement permission to use the Harry Potter trade mark and other materials.
