THE chief executive of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), Simon Osborne, will be in the Isle of Man on Friday (April 19).
He will address members with an update on the new constitutional framework and strategic review of the ICSA and give presentations on ICSA qualifications.
The event, which will take place between 11am and 2pm at the Claremont Hotel in Douglas, is open to all, especially those interested in joining the ICSA or perhaps exploring training for employees, tuition providers and existing members of the ICSA.
Theresa Minnie, head of members and students and Chris Glennie, business development director will accompany Mr Osborne on his visit and would be happy to talk to anyone during that time.
Mr Osborne’s address is scheduled for 12.30pm for approximately one hour, and light refreshments will be available. Alan Crowe MLC, himself a chartered secretary, will introduce proceedings. He said: ‘The ICSA is the international qualifying and membership body for the chartered secretary profession and is widely recognised as the world’s leading authority on governance and compliance.
‘In view of the Isle of Man’s successful and diversified economy, having strong relations with organisations such as the ICSA enhances our reputation as a professional and well-regulated international business centre.’
Gillian Prestwich, ICSA IoM chairman said: ‘We are delighted Simon and his colleagues are returning to the island following his visit in March 2012.
