THE Isle of Man Swimming Association’s much-anticipated annual Dolphin Trophy Swimming Galas took place last week at the National Sports Centre.

It was the first time in a number of years all 32 primary schools took part.

In the small schools’ section, the winner was St Thomas’ School with 83 points, with Bunscoill Ghaelgagh one point behind in second.

Arbory School won the medium schools’ section (103 points) while Michael School took second (81 points).

Marown School’s team secured a win for the second year running in the first of the large schools’ contests (93 points). Rushen School took second (76 points).

In the second of the large schools’ galas, Scoill Ree Gorree held on to the trophy, winning with 106 points. Second was Cronk-y-Berry School (69 points).

The event was again sponsored by AXA Wealth International. Managing director Mike Foy presented trophies to the winning teams.

The Isle of Man Swimming Association thanked the swimmers and their teachers for the high standard of competition, everyone who helped run the event, and NSC management and staff.
