A WEEK of events has been organised by the team at Rebecca House to celebrate children’s hospice week, April 26 to May 3.
This will be the fourth year the Rebecca House team, supported by the fundraising team at Hospice Isle of Man, will get involved with this UK initiative, featuring fun and educational events.
The week will begin on Friday, April 26, with a bag packing event at Shoprite in Peel, followed by a rainbow walk along Peel promenade on Saturday at 3pm. The walk is open to all families and will involve entertainment from Cookie the Clown. Rainbow treats will also be given to all finishers.
Two treasure hunts will take place on Sunday – both a family one and an adult/corporate one. The adult one will finish with a hog roast at Ballafletcher Sports Grounds in Vagabonds club house.
Quiz nights will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at The Outback while Friday will see a superhero and gladrags dress up day for nurseries, schools and offices. The final event, also on Friday, May 3, will be a Lido disco at the Crescent featuring David Cretney MHK as DJ!
