THE summer season for the Snaefell Mountain Railway has been delayed by more than a month.
It was due to start running tomorrow (Wednesday).
However, due to the recent severe weather and ice, a number of overhead lines and pole arms have been brought down and must be repaired before trams can run again.
The Mountain Railway will now resume services on May 1.
Services on the Manx Electric Railway line are suspended between Laxey and Ramsey today (Tuesday).
Services will run between Douglas and Laxey on the ‘C’ timetable for the remaining half of the day.
