Marie Curie Cancer Care is appealing for people to donate an hour of their time to collect for the charity’s annual Great Daffodil Appeal.
A collection will take place in Strand Street, Douglas, this Saturday (March 23), organised by the Mannanin Lions Club and the Isle of Man Lions Club.
The money raised will help Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to people with a terminal illness.
Sophie McCoy, community fundraiser for the charity, said: ‘On average, an hour’s collecting raises enough to fund two hours of nursing so it is a chance for people to make a real difference for others in their community.
To volunteer, call Ian Burrell after 5pm on 626783.
