THE Northern Ireland minister for employment and learning, Dr Stephen Farry MLA, will speak at the annual general meeting of the Liberal Vannin Party tomorrow (Sunday).
The meeting will take place at the Douglas Old Friends’ Association, Finch Road, Douglas, at 10.30am.
Dr Farry has been an Alliance Party MLA since 2007 and during the ensuing period has sat on many committees culminating in his appointment as minister with four key areas of activity to include enhancing the provision of learning and skills, including entrepreneurship, enterprise, management and leadership.
Founded in 1970, the Alliance Party objectives are to heal the divisions in their community. Alliance now holds a more neutral position on either a united Ireland or continued union with Great Britain.
Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting to hear Dr Farry’s address which will include, if time permits, a question and answer session.
