THE average Manx worker earns £611.75 a week, according to the latest figures released by the government.
That equates to an annual salary of £31,811.
The Treasury this morning released the findings of its annual earnings survey.
The median weekly wage – which is not distorted as much as the average by very high earners – is £512 or £26,624.
Average wages rose 1.8 over the year to June.
The Manx Independent will crunch more of the numbers in Thursday’s paper.
They show that the average Manx worker earns more than his/her UK counterpart. But men actually earn less and women earn more.
The paper will also look at the differences between the earnings of public and private sector workers.
