A BUS strike will take place on Saturday morning (February 23) at 4.37am and will last for 10 minutes.
The news was revealed this morning by Department of Community, Culture and Leisure chief executive officer Nick Black, who said his department was reasonably confident of securing casual drivers to cover the two routes affected by the action.
The move comes as the latest development in a long-running dispute over changes to Bus Vannin drivers’ terms and conditions, including the loss of paid lunch breaks. The drivers union, Unite, says drivers stand to lose up to £3,000 from their pay packets.
