SNOW and icy conditions are causing problems for motorists this morning.

Drivers have reported icy patches on a number of roads.

Meanwhile, roads on higher ground have been closed.

Shoulder Road from the main Foxdale road through to the Round Table, past the Sloc and down to Ballakillowey.

Police say that Cronk-y-Voddy is passable with care but driving conditions are poor.

A spokesman said: ‘If you are able to plan an alternative route - please do.’

The Department of Infrastructure is dealing with this area and a number of vehicles have got stuck there, according to police.

The Creg-ny-Baa Back Road remains open. Again, the police say the road is passable with extreme care and suggest that motorists should take an alternative route if they can.
