The Made by Manxies craft market is coming back bigger and better than ever before.
The craft market is making a grand return to the Isle of Man scene after holding its last market in 2014.
‘Made by Manxies Revisited’ will feature 20 different stalls showcasing handmade creations made by local crafters in the Isle of Man and will take place on Saturday, May 14 from 10am to 1pm at Douglas Promenade Methodist Church.
Organiser Keren Cowell said the markets had been running every two to three months for around two and a half years before the last market in 2014. She said many people were sad to see the loss of the event.
‘The sheer amount of people, who when I talked to them said how much they had missed the markets totally amazed me. I thought that maybe there might be one of two, but that was the understatement of the year.
‘I then started thinking about whether there was a way that I could bring them back and the idea grew and grew to the point that we are now relaunching the Made by Manxies name. We are coming back bigger and better than ever!’
Admission is £1 and cakes and refreshments will be available. Proceeds will go towards the Isle of Man Mental Health Patient Comfort Fund and the Manx Stroke Association. Visit ‘Made by Manxies Revisited Craft Market - May 2016’ on Facebook for more details.
