A 17-YEAR-OLD charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm on a Peel man in the early hours of Saturday, made a further appearance before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes on Friday.
Liam Priestnal, of Lheannagh Park, Douglas, was granted bail following an application by his advocate Louise Cooil.
Priestnal must reside at his home and receive daily visits from the police’s Youth Justice Team, bail was set at £1,000, he must observe an 8pm to 7am curfew, be electronically tagged, not enter on licensed premises, not purchase alcohol or drink it in a public place, not have any contact with witnesses and cannot enter Peel.
The case was adjourned until February 12 for committal to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Mr Priestnal allegedly assaulted father of three Darryl McGeowan, 33, who lives in Peel, in Loch Promenade, near to the junction with Walpole Avenue, at 3am on Saturday (December 16).
Mr McGeowan was flown to Walton Neurological Hospital for treatment to serious head injuries.
