WESTERN Vikings RUFC will be holding an event at the Creek Inn in Peel tomorrow (Saturday) night to raise funds to help Darryl McGeown and his family.
Vikings player Darryl is currently receiving treatment in Walton Neurological Hospital in Liverpool after sustaining serious head injuries last week.
All funds raised will be donated to Darryl’s family to assist with travel and accommodation costs.
A message on Western Vikings’ Facebook page says: ‘This Saturday night, in conjunction with The Creek Inn and A Little Bitta Rosie, we will have buckets out on the bar and stage to collect any donations towards a good cause. There will also be a raffle and club members will be selling tickets throughout the night.
‘I hope you can all join us for a good night for one of our own.
‘Any Vikings, other rugby teams, football teams, hockey teams, etc, if you could wear your team’s colours, kit, polo shirts, shirt and tie to show your representation, that would be good.’
