The emergency services were called out in Peel this morning after a worker operating a ‘cherry-picker’ became stuck 50-feet in the air.
A call was received at around 10.30am at the emergency services joint control room after the machine the man was using locked out, leaving him stuck in the cage.
A fire crew from Peel and specialist team from Douglas station were sent to the scene.
On arrival, the crew from Peel were able to help the operator back down to earth after re-setting the controls of the vehicle.
It took about 15 minutes to rescue the man and supporting appliances returned to their stations shortly after.
No injuries were reported.
