ALMOST 200 properties were without power last week due to high winds bringing down the lines.
On Thursday, some 175 properties were without power in Ronague when a 11kv line came down in the gale force winds.
The Manx Electricity Authority first received reports the line was down at 10.50am. Staff managed to restore power to most homes by lunchtime, and power was restored to the remaining 54 affected properties when the line was reinstated at about 2.30pm.
Meanwhile, Cornaa resident Paul Griffiths sent in pictures of lines down due to a fallen tree, taken on Wednesday night.
An MEA spokesman said staff arrived at the scene at about 9.30pm and worked through the night to install a new pole, clear the tree and put the line back up.
It affected 15 properties. Power was restored by 6am the following morning.
