Heading for Dubai

APPLEBY Aviation will be attending the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) Conference from December 11 to 13 in Dubai.

Isle of Man office managing partner Sean Dowling and director of operations, Brian Johnson, will attend the event as part of the island delegation on the Isle of Man Aviation Services stand 100.

MEBA is firmly established as a key event in the business aviation calendar attracting 7,000 visitors and VIP guests from around the world. High-net-worth individuals, government representatives, corporate decisions makers and buyers will gather to peruse over 300 exhibit stands and some 60 business aircraft on display in the show’s static area.

Speaking ahead of the event Brian said: ‘Against the global backdrop of economic turmoil, the Middle East remains a strong market for aviation. In fact Bombardier’s latest market forecast report predicts up to 1,995 business jets to be delivered in the region between 2012 and 2031.’

He added: ‘MEBA offers a perfect opportunity for the Isle of Man to capitalise on this growth and demonstrate its expertise in a highly focused environment. We are pleased to be working together with the Department of Economic Development to promote the island as a centre of aviation excellence.’

Appleby Aviation brings together a global wealth of experience and diverse skills from its legal and fiduciary teams to provide a service to aviation clients.

With offices in the aircraft registry locations of Isle of Man, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands the team is well positioned to assist clients with all aspects of their offshore aviation needs.

A spokesman said: ‘In fact our Isle of Man team has imported another new Dassault Falcon 2000EX business jet at Ronaldsway this week.’
