CLIFFS at the back of the Strathallan buildings at Derby Castle are to be surveyed so the council can assess whether any work is needed to stabilise the structure.
Recent work to remove asbestos from the back of the buildings in the tram shed section had revealed an accumulation of debris there from the cliff face directly behind.
A structural engineer is to carry out a visual survey initially and advise on any work needed.
Acting on this, the council may take advice from a geological consultant on any threat posed to the building and any measures recommended by him to address it.
