KPMG Isle of Man has announced five promotions within the firm’s audit department.

The promotions see two current members of the management team become senior managers and the appointment of three new audit managers.

This complements KPMG’s recent intake of five new ACA students in audit and a graduate in tax.

Kerry Fenna has been appointed to the position of senior manager having been with KPMG IoM for 17 years and an audit manager for the last seven. Kerry spent three years in Australia on secondment to the Real Estate Audit Department of the KPMG Sydney office, returning to KPMG IoM in 2011.

Jenny Trimble joined KPMG in 2003 as a graduate trainee and became a manager in 2008. Jenny works in both the audit and advisory service lines with responsibility for the internal audit division and has also recently spent time in the British Virgin Islands office of KPMG leading a HR Advisory project. Jenny has also been appointed to the position of senior manager.

David Maddrell has been promoted to manager and has been with KPMG since March 2006, joining as a trainee. He has since spent time working across the KPMG service lines and has developed considerable expertise in such areas as transaction services, internal audit, accounting and external audit.

Sachet Baniya joined KPMG in 2007 as a graduate intake. During this time, Sachet has been involved in audits in various industry sectors, including eGaming, captive insurance, wealth management and public sector. Sachet is responsible for managing the majority of eGaming clients for KPMG Isle of Man having gained experience in this industry.

Steven Hannah recently joined KPMG after moving from another audit firm on the island where he had previously also held the position of manager. He has six years’ audit experience across a range of sectors including AIM listed funds, investment management, banking, eGaming and insurance.

Director of Audit, Russell Kelly, said: ‘We are very pleased to continue to offer our people opportunities to build upon their collective expertise and reward them for their hard work and dedication over the years.

‘KPMG places a great emphasis on the development and fulfillment of our employees and in building the right type of organisation for our clients.

‘The promotions come as part of this commitment and as a result of our responsibility to provide high levels of assurance and a robust and independent opinion to businesses, shareholders and stakeholders in challenging economic times.

‘I would like to congratulate Kerry, David, Sachet, Steven and Jenny for this remarkable achievement and wish them every success.’
